Investor Engagement

Listening to and maintaining a dialogue with the investors, both existing and potential, help us understand their expectations as well as concerns. That understanding in turn, helps us to fine-tune our engagement and structure reporting, so that information will be relevant to them, leading to building up mutual trust and a loyal following of investors who will take a long-term view of the value of their investments in the Bank, without being swayed by short-term fluctuations in performance. The section on Stakeholders, details various frameworks that govern our engagement process and how we communicate with our investors in general.

The Chief Executive and the Deputy Chief Executive, maintain a dialogue with key institutional investors and bring any matters of concern to the notice of the Board. Details of their participation in investor forums and meetings during the year, are given in the Corporate Governance report. In addition to the Annual General Meeting held on 30 June 2015, the Extra-ordinary General Meeting held on 28 August 2015 to obtain the approval of the shareholders for the proposal relating to the amalgamation with DFCC Vardhana Bank PLC, also gave an opportunity for the shareholders to interact with the Board and the Management.
